Gameplay
  • If your team is more than 10 minutes late to their match, it will be considered a forfeit.
  • In the case the two teams cannot come to an agreement, spin a bag to decide what side you play on and who pitches first. The winner of the spin can either pick their side or choose to pitch first.
  • Alternate who pitches first each of the first two games of the match. If the match goes to a third game, spin a bag to determine who pitches first that game.
  • Players alternate pitching bags (one player at a time) until each player has pitched all (4) of his/her bags.
  • If a player throws out of turn, that bag is removed from play and will not count, the opposing team will then throw two consecutive bags and then the two teams will complete the normal pitching sequence.
  • Teammates need to throw directly across from each other, they cannot line up diagonally
  • Each team will stay in their designated lane for the whole game.
  • We do not switch sides with the opposing team during a match. However, you are allowed to switch sides with your partner in between games (not during a game).
  • Switching bags is allowed during your match, but cannot be done in the middle of a game.
  • If a bag bounces off the ground and lands on the board it does not count (remove the bag from the board immediately).
  • If a bag hits a light, HVAC vent, or the ceiling the bag is dead. No re-dos.
  • Cancellation Scoring: In cancellation scoring, the points of one player cancel out the points of their opponent. Using this method, only one player/team can score in each frame.
  • The player/team who scored in the preceding frame shall pitch first in the next frame. If neither player/team scores, the player/team who pitched first in the preceding frame shall retain first pitch in the next frame.
  • Per our rules for a Grand Bag is defined as follows: all 4 bags in the hole during your turn, no matter how they go in the hole. They do not have to be thrown consecutively, you can drag them in, and the other shooter can push them in.
  • All other rules not stated above will follow ACL guidelines.
  • Any rule disputes will be handled by Klutch Cornhole’s League coordinator.
